Netflix Smackdown Versus Xbox 360

Netflix has stopped Xbox 360 users from streaming movies distributed by Sony Pictures Entertainment. It is not a glitch according to Netflix.

“In the case of Xbox 360, a few hundred titles are temporarily unavailable to be streamed via the Xbox game console,” Netflix VP of corporate communications Steve Swasey told MTV Multiplayer in an e-mailed statement tonight. “Those titles are still available to be watched on subscribers’ computers and on TVs via other partner devices, and we hope they’ll be licensed for Xbox 360 shortly.”

So if you were watching the latest Sony flick on your Xbox recently and did not finish watching then you will be out of luck due to this stoppage.

Is it a coincidence that this license expired just when Netflix was being added to Microsoft or did Sony ask to have the streaming disabled?

“As watching instantly becomes a more prominent part of the Netflix service, our goal is to have all of our streaming content licensed for all of our partner devices,” he said. “We’re doing well in this area, but it will take some time before we fully achieve that goal. Today, titles regularly come in and out of license and there is a natural ebb and flow to what we have on license at any given point in time.”

Hot New 2010 Mustang Revealed - Hot Rod Again

Wow the new Ford Mustang for 2010 has been unveiled and it is a hot one. No more blase looking Mustangs. This years and next sure look powerful enough to satisfy any Mustang fan.

According to the AP:
Ford Motor Co. tries to revive its classic Mustang muscle car with a makeover for the 2010 model year that debuts at this week's Los Angeles Auto Show.

Tuesday's introduction comes as the Dearborn automaker and U.S. rivals General Motors Corp. and Chrysler LLC struggle with plunging sales and a severe financial crisis.

Ford sold 83,557 Mustangs in the U.S. in the first 10 months of the year, down 30 percent from 118,959 in the same period of 2007. Overall company sales fell 18 percent in the period to 1.66 million.

The 2010 Mustang has what the company calls a "new muscular, sculptured exterior," along with larger wheels, adjusted suspension and more power. Ford says the V-6 engine has 210 horsepower and the V-8 version has 315 horsepower.

"The best Mustangs have always been the ones that connect young America with the spirit of the times — and the 2010 does exactly that," J Mays, Ford's vice president for design, said in a news release. He said it has "the swagger you'd expect, but with modern refinement and attention to detail like you've never seen in a muscle car."

HD Video In The Palm Of Your Hand When Clubbin!

">
Mino is releasing a HD version of its wildly popular Flip Mino miniature video camcorder. Can you imagine shooting 720P high definition video in a camera the size of your mobile phone (or smaller in many cases)? Well it has to be seen. The Flip Mino is already a sensation of sort for its one touch video recording in the palm of your hand and then easy upload via built in USB port, but now they have added HD to the mix.

The current Flip camcorders do a nice job of recording and the ease of exporting and sharing is remarkable. But now to add in HD well that just seems like a winner to me. As long as you can maintain the same flow from camera to computer and to sharing with friends then it will be a big hit.
